Menus, events, and opening hours throughout DecemberClick for more details
Alex and Laura embarked on their foody endeavour in December 2014. They had a vision to create a beautiful space, with real atmosphere, where like-minded people could meet, and enjoy truly delicious food.
Their journey began by working together to reinvent and, in many ways, rediscover the splendid original features of this historical building. Combining their skills, Laura and Alex have created what, they hope, is the best restaurant in Haverfordwest by bringing together superb food, ambience, décor and service.

brimming with style
Belle Vue Brasserie is brimming with style and elegance and incorporates elements of steampunk. Imagine Victorian era science fiction: top hats, mechanical devices, corsets and goggles. Still unsure – you’ll have to pop in and see for yourself! The restaurant is peppered with quirky and antique curiosities that make the Belle Vue’s dining experience unique and personal.
Diners frequently comment on the great atmosphere found at Belle Vue Brasserie, which is created by special lighting effects, and the two real log fires that feature in the lounge and restaurant.
Situated on the fork between the Dale and Haven Road, near Tesco, and a walk away from Haverfordwest town centre, it is the perfect place to enjoy a special family occasion; a dinner date; or just a casual evening with friends. Venture outside to enjoy the garden where Laura and Alex grow their own herbs, vegetables and fruits, which can end up on your plate or in a cocktail!
The menu is chosen by Laura and Alex to reflect the seasons, what’s growing in the garden, and what is the fresh off the shores of Pembrokeshire. Cooked fresh to order, the chef can accommodate all palates and dietary requirements. The style of dining at The Belle Vue is, unsurprisingly, a bit different.
We offer smaller portions for children and try our best to accommodate particular tastes with what ingredients we have in the kitchen. Ideally, if you can let us know in advance if you are vegan, or require a special diet, this will enable us to offer you increased menu options for your visit
….And to wash it all down: West Wales’s finest real ales, which are served straight from the cask. There is also a selection of wine, cocktails, and soft drinks, and staff will be delighted to offer their advice and opinions about what might be best with your food choice.
The Belle Vue prides itself on sourcing local ingredients from local suppliers where ever possible to make honest, hearty, and fulfilling food.
Pass me dinner
The concept is founded from something that Laura recalls from childhood as a “pass me” dinner. Laura and Alex believe food should be tasty, plentiful, and shared amongst your nearest and dearest, so all the main meals are served with side dishes that are the accompaniment to everyone’s choice of main. And so the table conversation goes: “Would you pass me the (chips, salad veggies etc.)” hence why it is called a “pass me dinner”.
